Hi, I’m Aarushi Sharma, the founder of The [HP] Mental Health Project! I'm someone who loves exploring life and feeling deeply connected to the world around me. But above all, I'm passionate about breaking down barriers surrounding mental health.
The HP Mental Health Project isn't just a website; it's a passion project born from a desire to create a safe, welcoming space for young minds. My goal? To help kids and teens understand and cherish their mental well-being as they navigate life's twists and turns. My journey as a mental health advocate kicked off during my time in the Hope Squad program back in middle school. Since then, I've been on a quest to understand psychology better. But it was when the pandemic swept through, turning everything upside down, that I felt its profound impact on me. During those tough days, I found solace in an old friend — the magical world of Harry Potter. It wasn't just a series of books or movies; it became my safe haven, offering comfort and inspiring me to embrace life's beauty once more. This led to the birth of The [HP] Mental Health Project. I wanted to share this magic with younger kids, using the enchanting tales to teach them how to care for their mental well-being. In a world where mental health struggles are too common, I believe stories and imagination have the power to heal and empower our youth. This project is more than just a website; it's a safe space where young minds can explore, learn, and grow. I’m on a mission to make discussions about mental health as common as talking about our favorite stories, making sure every child feels heard, understood, and supported. So, welcome to our project—it's about you, your journey, and building a world where mental health is embraced with open hearts. |
